• The next Association meeting will be held on November 13, 2024, at FS40 and on Zoom. The meeting will start at 6:30pm. Information for joining the meeting on Zoom will be sent out via email and be available under the Member Resources tab prior to the meeting date. Hope to see you then.

    Steven Franklin Edwards Obituary

    Steven Franklin Edwards, born on December 27, 1953, in Alexandria, Virginia, passed away on August 22, 2024, at the age of 70. Steven dedicated his life to serving others as an EMT for Fairfax County Fire and Rescue, where he retired after thirty years of commendable service.

    Steven had a profound love for the outdoors and spent many cherished moments fishing and camping. He also had a great passion for NASCAR racing. A man of faith, Steven was a devoted member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

    He is preceded in death by his parents, Elwood Edwards and June Martin Edwards, and his sister, Judy LeGros.

    Steven is survived by his loving wife, Mabel Mary Myers; his daughter, Tracey McFadden (Steve) of Camden, NC; his sons, Keith Edwards (Rae), Kevin Edwards (Taarna), and Zachary Efaw (Carine), all of Virginia. He also leaves behind his brother, Jeff Edwards (Lee) of Virginia, and his cherished grandchildren: Jarrett, Jacob, Jayce, Carlana, Zachary, Brady, Darian, Opalmarie, Westley, and Alleria.

    Steven's life was a testament to his dedication to family, his community, and his unwavering commitment to helping others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

    There will be a memorial service for ETech. Steven F. Edwards on September 28, 2024, at 3 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 109 Chadburn Avenue in Elizabeth City, NC. 

    There is still no date for the memorial service in Virginia.
