    Timothy Riffe Obituary

    Timothy (Tim) W. Riffe

    February 6, 1959 - July 28, 2024

Timothy (Tim) W. Riffe, of Locust Grove, Virginia passed away at the age of 65 on July 28, 2024, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Tim joined Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department in 1981 as a member of the 53rd recruit school. He retired in 2011 at the rank of Captain.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Robin C. (Littlefield) of 43 years, his daughter Michelle J. and her husband Michael F. Medeiros; and his son Christopher W. Riffe. Tim was a proud and loving grandfather to Madeleine G. Medeiros and Michael F. Medeiros, Jr.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. Riffe and Jean L. (Shrewsbury) Riffe of Locust Grove, Virginia. He is survived by his brothers, Robert L. Riffe, Jr., Brian D. Riffe, and Steven G. Riffe.

Tim had a profound love for fishing, finding peace and joy by the water. The family would want Tim to be remembered as he lived:

"So when you fish on morning's light,

Or find a quiet place at night,

    Remember him with every cast,

For he is free, at peace, at last."

A private Celebration of Life will be held. The Inurnment will be at Laurel Hill Memorial Park in Spotsylvania, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org).
