All,
Please save the date and spread the word throughout your vast and expansive networks. The annual Independence Day Parade in Fairfax City will take place on Friday, July 4, 2024 (C-shift), rain or shine. Our great department will celebrate its 76th anniversary (July 1, 1949) as an organized county fire and rescue department this year.
Below is a brief update on the early planning.
==
Just an update on this year’s July 4th Parade in Fairfax City. This year’s theme is “Freedom, Flip Flops, and Fireworks.”
*Kicks off at 10 am
*Participants should be in place by 9 am, location TBD
*Parking is free in the B-garage
We are limited to 4 -5 pieces of apparatus and a float. We occupy the largest footprint in the parade and are undoubtedly one of the most anticipated parade participants by the many thousands who attend.
Items to accomplish going forward:
I need a save the date posted on social media for L2068 and any other employee group platforms – ASAP, please.
