Obituary for James Andrew Breisch
James Andrew Breisch, known as Andy, age 61, of Brandy Station, Virginia, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.
He dedicated 30 years of his life to serving with Fairfax County Fire and Rescue, a career that reflected his commitment to helping others and his community.
An avid automotive enthusiast with a lifelong love for cars, Andy found joy in restoring, maintaining, and sharing his knowledge about vehicles. He always had time to connect with others who shared his love for cars. Andy was a devoted fan of Jimmy Buffett, and his laid-back spirit and love for "island life" were reflected in the way he lived - always finding joy in the simple moments and spreading that joy to everyone around him.
Family trips to Disney World and the Outer Banks were among his most cherished memories, creating moments of laughter and togetherness that he held close to his heart. One of the most treasured traditions in Andy’s life was the annual hunting trip he took with his father, brother, uncles, and cousins. This gathering, full of camaraderie, laughter, and shared memories, was an event Andy eagerly anticipated each year.
Andy is survived by his loving wife, Kelly; his daughter, Kalyn; his brother, Dee J(Susan); his sister, Amy (Frank); and his mother, Patti.
He was preceded in death by his father, Duane.
Andy’s warmth, humor, and kindness will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain a part of the lives he so lovingly touched.
A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Brandy Station Volunteer Fire Department, 19601 Church Rd., Brandy Station, VA 22714. Please wear casual clothing.
