The Executive Board met on March 7, 2024, to discuss several items, one of which was to hold the Annual Picnic again. The Board voted on a date of May 18, 2024, at Bull Run Park, shelter #1, from 12pm to 5pm with lunch being served at 1pm. The event will be held rain or shine. The shelter is limited to 200 people. The shelter has been booked. There is no cost to members and their families. Mission BBQ will cater the event. A reminder that there is no alcohol allowed in the park.

UPDATE 3/31/24

A question was asked at the last 'Lunch in the Valley' luncheon about paying for parking at the upcoming Association picnic. The park was contacted and was told that persons who live outside the NoVa area (Alexandria City, Arlington County, Fairfax City, Fairfax County, Falls Church City and Loudon County) would have to pay $5.00 per car. The Association will cover the cost of parking for those affected. It is vital that you RSVP to picnic.rsvp@fcfrra.org with the number of persons who will attend and your jurisdiction, so we have an accurate count for the caterer and the park. When you arrive at the gate, tell the attendant you are attending the picnic at shelter #1 to take advantage of free admission. Please RSVP by May 10, 2024.
